The Modern Sage Podcast
The Modern Sage Podcast offers no-nonsense sage advice to support your spiritual and emotional health. Beginning Season 4, Ep 1, Leah shares her personal story of living in a spirited, (haunted) house, and the deep transformation she underwent as a result of surrendering to the invitation to trust the darkness. She shares these stories as inspiration so the listener can relate to their own stories and inner darkness, and learn how to heal the ghosts of the past.
In the first 3 seasons, Leah interviews experts, authors, healers, musicians, entrepreneurs, celebrities and everyday heroes who know life's struggles, and sharing ways they've learned to be inspired and heal. The focus is on emotional healing and mental health with a good dose of secular spiritualism mixed in.
This series is hosted by author and intuitive spiritual teacher Leah Guy. Her aim is to make visible the reality of hope, to welcome change and transformation while acknowledging our humanity so that we can grow into whole, happy and satisfied people.

Is it possible for people to change?
Intuitive healer, spiritual teacher and author Leah Guy shares a perspective on healing that includes the understanding that change is possible and steps to actually make change work positively in your life.
However, we must come to the place to release the blame of others, and take the responsibility for how we actually feel.
Healing takes effort, and it is a process, but it is totally possible.
Intention, discipline and commitment are part of the recipe to make great changes in our lives.
We are often in a state a judgment, discernment, comparison of others to ourselves and to others, and frequently we get caught trying to fix others, or make others change.
The power starts within.
It's important to understand the "why" we feel or behave the way that we do, but as far as healing goes in our personal life, we seek the "way", not the "why." We change our focus off of the other and putting the focus on the reality of how one's own state of being.
We go from "He hurt me" to "I am hurting."
Acknowledge, acceptance and action. These steps are outlined in Leah's latest book, Overcoming Toxic Emotions, A Practical Guide to Building Better Relationships with Others and Yourself, and are discussed in this podcast as the path to making shifts in our lives that last.
